Protected and Unprotected Consumers
Protected Consumers are those who use less than 200 units during the last six consecutive months. This facility is available for residential consumers having a sanctioned load 5kWh. Lifeline is often called Lifeline Tariff or Lifeline rate to give higher subsidized or free electricity to low income consumers.

Peak and Off-Peak Hours
Electricity load changed at different times in a day. Peak hour is a time slot in which power consumption is higher than normal use. Peak and Off-Peak hours of Lesco change with the change of seasons, intensity of weather and electricity consumption. - In summer, peak time starts from 7PM to 11PM (June to August).
